Remote jobs — Setup
What counts as work worth applying for: your floor, the kinds of engagement you take, how you get paid — and, below, exactly how a post is judged.
The everyday settings. Turn on “Show advanced tools” below to see the rest.
What the hunt looks for and what the scorer refuses. Until now every one of these was a constant compiled into the code, which meant the numbers deciding whether a job was worth reading could not be changed without a deploy.
A post outside these is shelved with that as the reason, not hidden. 4 of 10.
How it scores
only the ratios matter — doubling all of them changes nothingEach of these is judged only on what the post actually says. A pillar the post said nothing about is left out of the sum, never scored low — which is not the same thing, and treating it as the same is what once made every result score exactly the same number. Set a pillar to 0 to take it out of the judgement entirely.
The bar is 80. With these weights, something has to earn 80 of the 100 on offer — and a post that stated less is judged out of less, so it is the share that has to clear the bar, not the raw points.
Reasons to refuse
10 of 10 onThese run before any score, in this order, and the first one to fire is the reason you see on the shelf. A refusal is never a deletion — everything refused is still listed, with the rule that refused it — so switching one off here changes what is recommended, not what is kept.
